ABOUT ART THERAPY
Art therapy is a unique and effective mode of counselling. By using simple art materials people are encourage to explore their issues, difficulties, strengths and abilities.
Art Therapy can help individuals by looking at old situations, thoughts or feelings differently to see new solutions and new potentials. Using an arts-based approach you (or your child) will be supported by the art therapist to be creative, activate your imagination, connect with your inner world, to explore new possibilities, and reach your individual goals.

For some, talking and finding the right words to describe a situation can be a difficult task. This is when art therapy can be helpful. You can draw, paint or sculpt your thoughts and feelings. This gives your inner world form and can make it easier to understand. Art therapy can help you to:

-
Gain mastery and control of thoughts/feelings/behaviours
-
Increase ability to express self
-
Increase self-esteem
-
Increased problem-solving skills
